What's new in Crew 4.5
Crew Clash with an audience, an easier Nearlywed, the whole itinerary in one list, and a new icon.

4.5 is out. Most of it is games, and you'll spot the first change before you even open the app.
A new icon
The Crew icon is our wordmark now. It just says Crew. So when a friend invites you to a trip and you download the app, it's easy to find on your home screen when the group chat starts going.
Crew Clash, now with an audience
Open a game and choose Play or Watch. Watch works any time, even halfway through a round, so whoever shows up late still gets in on it.
Watchers see every prompt and every matchup, and they vote. An audience vote counts the same as a player's, so the whole crew decides who was funnier.
The scores run along the bottom as you play, with a crown on whoever's leading. The game ends on a podium for the top three. And when it's over, anyone can hit Play again and start the next one.
Nearlywed is easier to set up
Nearlywed is the game where the crew guesses how well the couple really knows each other. There's now one button in the Games tab, and it tells you where you are: Set up, then how many people are in, then Play.
The game's home page shows how a round works using your couple's names, and lets you watch a sample round before you build your own. Setup is a short checklist from there.
Sound plays even when your phone is on silent, so the whole room hears the reveal.
The Games tab is one list now: your games up top, and everything else you can add right underneath.
The whole itinerary in one list
The itinerary is one scrolling list with a header for each day, so you can see the whole trip at once. Shared itineraries look the same.
The travel agent
Tap the + next to the message box for a menu of what it can do: add to the itinerary, add a flight or where you're staying, split an expense, make a poll, add a task, build a packing list, or find places. Pick one and it starts the message for you.
When it suggests things to do, some now come with a price and how long they take, and you can book them right there on Viator.
And when it suggests a place, adding it to the itinerary is one tap on the day you want.
Around the trip
- Tasks are sorted into To Do, Doing and Done
- Polls have a new look, with everyone's faces on the option they picked
- If a trip has no dates or location yet, organizers can add them straight from the cover
- The group chat puts your name once above a run of messages instead of on every one, and the unread dot is in your trip's colour
- Creating a trip ends on one clean summary card
Plus a pile of smaller fixes.
If something in here isn't right, there's a Feedback item in the menu and it comes straight to me.
